Graded Specimen-65 by PCGS. Razor sharp details, with mostly white surfaces and just a hint of colour. From the Belzberg collection.
In 1931, the Royal Mint, Ottawa Branch, became the Royal Canadian Mint. To commemorate, the Mint Master, J.H. Campbell, struck some specimen sets and some individual fifty cent pieces.
All these specimen coins are rare, with only 9 ten cents coins graded by PCGS, with most residing in sets. In the original Belzberg sale, by Heritage, in 2003, this coin realized almost $4,200 - 17 years ago!
