Germany, Ireland Quebec flight. 70mm. A scarce silver specimen commemorating the first east west crossing of the Atlantic. Its crew of 2 Germans and an Irishman left Ireland for Canada eventually landing on land between Newfoundland and Quebec. There they were rescued by Canadians including D. McWilliams. This silver medal (69.5mm)  in its case of issue has a plaque engraved with the following: Presented To/D. McWilliams/Quebec/by/North GermanyLLoyd S/S Co/Bremen/For Services Rendered/La Malbaie, P.Q./April 1928.  Accompanied by The Bermen book by Fred W. Hotson.
