DEVINS & BOLTON MONTREAL Countermarked On rev. of Bout de L'Isle Bridge Token, BR 545, WB-183, Large ampersand var. Brunk 11510. This is a most unusual undertype, being a transportation ticket of early vintage (ca. 1808), and a scarce piece as well. It well demonstrates the broad spectrum of copper items the firm was able to find after 1862. RARE.
Note this lot is part of the Richard Cooper Collection.
The Cataloguers have taken every reasonable measure to ensure that all the lots are as described by Geoffrey Bell Auctions. Many of the lots are third party graded by PCGS, PMG, ICCS - We feel these are the most recognized grading companies in the industry.
