Under powers granted by heirs of Sir William Alexander of Menstrie, to be paid three months after said heirs established their claim to Nova Scotia and Dependencies! (King James I granted the plantation of Nova Scotia to Alexander in 1621. The territory was returned to France in 1632 and Alexander, the 1st Earl of Stirling, died broke in 1640.) Not issued; has a couple of pin holes, and some age staining as most of these do. One very similar example but torn sold for US $280 plus commission in Archives International Sale, 13 Mar. 2018 (see lot 54 on icollector). 2 Pcs.
