CH 375-12-16S. A stunning double size note printed by Waterlow & Sons, London. The face features a fabulous large portrait of Queen Alexandra. The extra large high denomination notes were circulated, but no issued example is known in private collections. Collectors will therefore have to be content with Waterlow Specimens or Proofs, which are printed in colours differing from those of the issued notes, but are very, very rare in their own right. This example will be a highlight of the auction and of any collection. It could be a very long time before this opportunity presents again. Catalogue prices lag because it has been many years since there has been a public offering of this piece.
