Lot of 3 Countermarked Canadian tokens. Includes: Brunk #C-583 T.B. / Clench (2mm x 6mm and 2mm x 14mm) countermarked on a BR 719 1854 Bank of Upper Canada One Penny, Brunk does not list this countermark type on a Canadian token, Freeman S. Clench moved to Cobourg, UC in 1825. In 1848 his sons Thomas and William, joined the business, which became one of the finest Canadian cabinet makers. In 1871 Thomas died when he fell from a railroad viaduct. William continued operations until 1888. Brunk #R-188 J.H.
