Obverse Grouping: Br 696, 695, 683. Group of 5. - Br 696 (CH LC-29B) x2, one F+ with no die flaw, the other F+ with obv die flaw; Br 695 (CH LC-29A) x2, one VG-F in early state, the other F+ in later state; Br 683 (CH LC-25A1) x1 VF. With the exception of early-state 696s, this die is always found with a diagonal obverse die flaw across the upper right quadrant of the bouquet. In later 695s and all 683s the straight flaw develops a significant chip below it and to the right of the central ear of wheat. Br 695 and 683 are virtually unobtainable above VF--one wonders whether lesser striking force was used to compensate for the broken obverse die. 5 Pcs.
