This very obscure railway has an interesting history. Incorporated in 1880 they began to build track but were quickly blocked by another small railroad company building across their planned route in 1884. They became mired in litigation until 1889 when their final appeals failed and all Constuction work they had started was then abandoned. One particularly big rival was the Great Western Railway who sought to have charter extensions denied by the Canadian court system. Since this company never actually managed to complete their line, stock certificates are very rare with only 2 known to exit (per Coxrail) and not a single example known to have been sold at Canadian auction. Featuring an extremely detailed and attractive vignette and golden watermark, this rare example of an obscure Canadian railroad can now become part of your collection!
