Auction Details
We are excited to be hosting another "at home" auction, to be held at 1141 Main Street, Moncton, NB, on November 21st, 2015 at 5pm.
An exciting feature of the Moncton Sale is a charity component. With the consignment deadline moved up, they’ve been able to accommodate a new charity idea in which the end of the auction will feature a number of select items from their own inventory with the proceeds benefiting The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation. Lots 583 through to 763 are all part of the charitable section.
This challenging economic environment has made it difficult for individuals, businesses, and charities, so because the need to “give back” is of such importance to the Bells, this new aspect of the auction will benefit everyone. “This exercise accomplishes two goals: to clean up my desk and to help those who need an extra bump financially to reach certain targets,” noted Brian.
The Moncton Hospital was front and centre when Brian's father, Geoffrey was taking treatments for cancer, followed by serious complications afterwards. "It gave me an opportunity to see what was involved, and the people who saved my dad's life. I am forever grateful for the superb care and professionalism that the hospital provided for my family."
It is a goal of Geoffrey Bell Auctions Ltd. to have others think about charities when disposing of their collections, as Father Bernie O’Connor did in 2009, donating the proceeds, more than half a million dollars, to the Ferguson Foundation.
The November 21st auction is set to take place at the Coin Cabinet at 1141 Main Street, Moncton, NB at 5pm, with lot viewing from Thursday to Saturday, 11am – 4pm.
Public is invited to attend this sale and bid in person, online or email/phone bids. No official catalogue will be issued.
The Cataloguers have taken every reasonable measure to ensure that all the lots are as described by Geoffrey Bell Auctions. Many of the lots are third party graded by PCGS, PMG, ICCS - We feel these are the most recognized grading companies in the industry.
