Toronto Issue. CH 505-24-04a. Red TWO protector, engraved date, red HAMILTON overprint across top centre. Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson imprint. No signatures visible, nor sheet number; check letter is B. A presentable Good, with rough edges commensurate with the grade, and small pieces missing from bottom margin. Has a body tear about 3 cm long near the centre. There is a wonderful R.D. Phelps, Brantford, merchant's advertising stamp on the back, enhancing the historical value of this very rare note. Competition has recently become strong for early Bank of Montreal notes.
