Charlton EONB-59, 'Director' Role. Silver, stamped "STERLING". 31.5mm x 93.0mm. 29.0g. No Maker Mark. Badge consists of: 1. Bar Pin (with "1911" & "DIRECTOR") 2. Suspension Loop (in shape of intertwined G & R, for King George V; enamelled) 3. Medal (a crown within a garter; enamelled). "H. R. Frankland" engraved on medal's reverse. The badge's condition is 'as issued'. Housed in a leather-covered pocket, inside is felt-lined. Outer case is leather-covered, with button snap; has become detached from pocket.

Henry Robertshaw Frankland was born in Toronto in 1876 and was a prominent figure in Toronto politics and society. He served in many capacities such as Reeve, Alderman, Justice of the Peace, and School Trustee. The current Frankland Community School in the Danforth area of Toronto is named in honour of the Frankland family's dedication to that community.
