The official commemorative medal issued by the National Committee for the Celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Confederation. The obverse portrait is by Percy Metcalfe. An iconic Art Deco design. Left-facing crowned King George V with inscription "CONFEDERATION CANADA" on the obverse, robed woman with arms spread wide, sheaves of wheat to the left of her feet, clusters of maple leaves to the right of her feet, standing on a bar inscribed "1867-1927", map of Canada with the sea-to-sea rail links marked on it behind her, names of four explorers on the sides (Cook and Vancouver on the left; Cartier and Champlain on the right), inscribed "MARE VSQVE AD MARE" (Sea Unto Sea), engraver marked "RAYMOND DELAMARRE" below the bar on the reverse, high relief. 76mm/167g.
