BC-24b. The prefix series N/B was printed by BABN and delivered to the Bank in April 1948, and that the prefix was designated for $2 notes. It can only be surmised that a sheet (or more) of $10 notes slipped into the pile of notes for numbering. Another plausible theory may be it could have been printed as a replacement note and the employee operating the number machine made a little human error. At the time, notes found to be unissuable by the Bank of Canada were replaced by another specially printed note with the same serial number the unissuable note had. Perhaps the employee read the number from the wrong line in a list, for example, and accidentally applied the number for a $2 that was being replaced as part of the same batch. This error is unique to date and thus considered rare. BCS Fine 12. S/N: N/B9353048.
