A really neat group of financial ephemera from Canada. There are 2 cheques, an 1867 Bank of Nova Scotia and a Sterling Bank piece, 2 promissory notes from the bank of Upper Canada, the other from the City Bank of Montreal. There are 2 Treasurer’s Warrants from Woodstock, ON, remainders, a nice mint block of four Prince of Wales (1935) stamps and last but certainly not least a receipt for $152 issued by the Consulate of the United States in Clifton, ON. It is for US gold paid in full for a Bay Mare.
