A beautifully executed piece of calligraphy to Mrs Williams and Family From the Board of Examiners of the Pharmaceutical Association of the Province of Quebec regretting the absence of her late husband and expressing sympathy on his passing. The 9x13” piece appears to be done by W Greig of Montreal. It has some yellowing but would make a great framed item.

This lot relates to R.W. Williams of Three Rivers, Quebec. He began his pharmacy in 1879 and issued “business cards” circa 1891 shown as Leroux 994 and Breton 614 and 615. It appears he partnered with a druggist named Hoerner by 1885. Hoerner had issued his own token as Breton 613. These lots will be of interest to the serious Breton token collector.
