H. J. TORONTO - Within rect. cartouche on obv. of Br. 526, 1842 Bank of Montreal 1 p. (not in Brunk or M.I.) This is the hallmark of Henry Jackson, noted in Langdon, Canadian Silversmiths, as being at New Street in 1837, 213 King Street King Street from 1844-51, and from 1856 until 1869 on King Street East. The marks shown in Langdon do not have the TORONTO mark. (not in Brunk or M.I.)
