All of the 1935 Specimen sets are characterized by varying degrees of paper thins, remnants of silk mounting and glue residue from being at one time mounted. This set is above average. Mounting evidence is prominent on a few notes and unnoticeable on others. The Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Government Paper Money lists specimens typically as "AU" to be conservative in grading and allow for the usual imperfections associated with specimens. Value Estimates - Rarities by definition are seldom offered on the market and therefore are difficult, if not impossible, to price. Auction provides the perfect venue for establishing value. It would be impossible to assemble an issued set of high grade notes. By any reasonable comparison with Canadian and world rarities this set should obtain a $60,000 to 75,000 result. Includes $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $25, $50, $100, $500, $1000. All S/N F00000, stamped "SPECIMEN" and punched "SPECIMEN".
