Lieutenant Colonel Charles Corbishley Bennett was born in the township of York, Ontario. Unit: Eastern Ontario Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He served as the Quarter Master General for No 4 Military District in Canada. Awarded Distinguished Service order January 1, 1918. Deceased May 13, 1944. Major C.C. Bennett, 21 CDN Infantry. First World War Medal Lt. Colonel. Victory Medal. Colonial Auxiliary Forces 6th Regiment. There have been 1,220 DSOs awarded to Canadians. Total of 6 Medals, accompanied by a miniature set.
