Printed on thin paper. The paper has been cut around the outside of the design. The printed guilloches and counters are present, but the Dominion of Canada title and domicile have been cut out at centre. The condition is EF.
Issued examples of high denomination Dominion of Canada notes did not survive. It is quite unlikely that you will ever see another Proof example of this note other than the two or three front and back proofs in the Bank of Canada National Currency Collection. The Charlton catalogue states, “Some proofs known in institutions.” Understandably, all high denomination Dominion of Canada proofs are very rare. This is an item necessary for the completion of any advanced Dominion of Canada banknote collection.
