Government of Newfoundland, rare tintype photograph of 1920 $2 back. Also includes portrait die proof King George V (as on 1920 $1 Treasury Note); also Caribou Head, Canada Special B-16, seen on 1920 $1 and $2, both on large cards. The King's portrait is numbered Special C-362, and is an approval proof approved on 3/19/13, subject to N.Y. in the imprint line being altered to Ottawa. The date is too late for the 1911 Dominion of Canada $1,000, and too early for the 1920 Newfoundland $1, but the portrait is identical to these usages in any case. Evidently an additional application was being considered. Two die proof vignettes. (3)
