The Latin phrase translates to "Glory is the torch that leads on the honourable mind". Medal is 90% gold with enamels, crowned shield of arms bearing the lion rampant of Scotland set before the cross of St. Andrew with motto 'Honestae Gloria Fax Mentis', Awarded to Sir John Murray 8th Baronet (1768-1827), Sir John was a British Army Officer who led a brigade under Wellington, in the Peninsular War. 34 x 47mm, 16.6g, With Ribbon.
