44.5mm, 47.7g, Br. 105, McLachlan 178, Signed J.S. Wyon SC, McLachlan wrote, "Lennoxville is a small village about a hundred miles east of Montreal. The aim in establishing this college was to make the place a kind of Canadian Oxford. So far the village has little if any of the true classical atmosphere, while the college is hardly known beyond its precincts, save as a training school for boys. The reverse of this medal is the most beautiful of the Canadian series" as per R.W. McLachlan’s Canadian Numismatics (1881). A nice unworn example with chocolate-brown reflective surfaces on obverse and chocolate-brown reverse with a couple areas of green verdigris, UNC. 1pc. From the Geoffrey Bell Collection.
