Mounted into a gold style pin. "In HOC Signo Vinces" at top and "Salus per Christum" at bottom. Interesting item. Constantine, Roman Emperor, just prior to the Battle of Milvian Bridge saw the cross-like symbol illustrated on the pin in his mind. The Latin at the top means "in this sign you will conquer" and the Latin at the bottom translates to "salvation through Christ". Constantine was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. The reverse of the pin indicates it was used by a member of a religious fraternal organization.
