Printed on thin paper. The paper has been cut around the outside of the design. The printed guilloches and counters are present, but the Dominion of Canada title and domicile have been cut out at centre. The condition is VF, or so.
Issued examples of high denomination Dominion of Canada notes did not survive. It is quite unlikely that you will ever see a Proof example of this note as the Bank of Canada National Currency Collection does not have any examples of this issue documented on their website. The Charlton catalogue states, “Some proofs known in institutions.” Understandably, all high denomination Dominion of Canada proofs are very rare. This is an item necessary for the completion of any advanced Dominion of Canada banknote collection.
