NL-65-10-06. James B. Orr came to Newfoundland as an agent for Swift Meat Packers, but soon became a travelling salesman. In 1912 he introduced rubber boots to Newfoundland. Orr issued notes about 1920 as an advertising gimmick. A register of surviving notes is published in the CPMS newsletter, Sept. 2002, showed just two 5 cent notes and only one of each of the other denominations known to have survived. Unique. Ex: Eisenhauer, Bell.
