Prisoner of War Money - The British established POW camps in India in 1941, as a result of the large number of prisoners captured during the North Aftrica campaign. Over 100,000 POWs were transferred to camps in India, which help Italian and Japanese POWs and German, Japanese, and Italian civilian Internees. 10 of the camps issued currency. Bhopal issued denominations of 1,2,4,8 Annas, and 1,2,5,10 Rupees. 1 Annas, VG; 1 Rupees, Fine. 2 Pcs.
