Dated December 8, 1869. Signed by the Toronto Agent John Moat and payable to the Hon. Thomas Galt by London private banker, Glyn, Mills, Currie & Co. Currie was added after the acquisition of Curries & Co in 1860s. Third type of bills of exchange from this bank with the same vignette of Queen Victoria on crest as seen on the bank's 1857 $1 issue. Desirable bill of exchange from an early Canadian charted bank and a scarcer example issued from its Toronto office.
